Personal Spiritual Deepening Program Offerings
After 15 years of offering this program as a year-long program based in Washington, DC, Shalem is offering PSDP in a format customized to your local setting. Our trained associate-faculty are providing this program in their communities. Details about each offering are listed below. Two new leadership teams from Baltimore, MD, and Mobile, AL, will be starting PSDP in the fall of 2010.
The next full PSDP Leadership Conference will be held in September 2011.

New Mexico
Dates:
Opening Retreat Weekend - September 28-30, 2010 (begin and end at 1pm)
Monthly gatherings - October 21, November 18, 2010; January 20, February 17, March 17, 2011 (9am-1pm)
Closing Retreat - April 12-14, 2011 (begin and end at 1pm)
Place: Norbertine Hermitage Retreat Center, Albuquerque, NM
Leaders: Sue Joiner and Tim Schumacher
Sue Joiner directs Called Back to the Well, a spiritual renewal program for church leaders and a minister in the United Church of Christ.
Tim Schumacher is an Oblate with the Norbertine Community and a Chaplain at Presbyterian Hospital.
Cost: $890 (includes retreats, meals for all gatherings and tuition)

Nancy Nikiforow is a spiritual director, retreat leader, and workshop
facilitator on contemplative prayer and contemplative living. She is a
graduate of Shalem's Spiritual Guidance Program.
Nan Weir facilitates small groups and retreats and is an architect with
special interest in community building and sacred space. She is a
graduate of Shalem's Leading Contemplative Prayer Groups & Retreats
and Facilitating Group Spiritual Direction programs.
Cost: $650
Registration: $200 deposit will hold your spot. Deadline is

Margot Eyring, BFA, Ph.D., Associate Faculty at the Shalem Institute, hosted her first retreat on her family farm over 30 years ago. Since then, she has delighted in creating spaces for lives to deepen and be transformed. For Margot, hospitality is a vehicle for promoting justice and shalom. As a coach, she helps her clients get to where they need to be by focusing on their lives and paying attention to what is important. Like a magnifying glass in the sun, this focused attention can start a fire for something new. Elizabeth Tuckermanty, Ph.D. Associate Faculty at the Shalem Institute. She has been connected to contemplative work for over 30 years. She has led retreats focusing on food, labyrinth walking, centering and meditation. She is a nutritionist, gardener and an avid foodie. She is eager to help seekers find that wisdom within themselves through contemplative practices.
Cost: $550 early bird registration by August 10. $595 regular registration by September 10, 2010.
