Praying with our Iona Pilgrims - Receive your own Armchair Pilgrim Journal
Gratitude for all the prayers and the safe return of our pilgrims! Carole Crumley, Tilden Edwards, Hayley O'Conner, Leah Rampy and Bill Stone traveled with 40 pilgrims to the sacred isle of Iona on this blessed 40th Anniversary year for Shalem. Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation nurtures contemplative living and leadership by caring for the spiritual heart in prayer and by offering ways of opening into the life of the Spirit. We believe that living contemplatively is essential in today's often chaotic and challenging world. And it is a way to live a truly authentic life—anchored in prayer, spiritually discerning, responsive to God.
Our programs and resources draw particularly on the Christian contemplative tradition, and our participants come from many different denominations, faith traditions, and walks of life.
At Shalem, we honor each individual spiritual path and welcome anyone who would seek to learn from the contemplative way.
