Paris — A Pilgrimage of Contemplative Prayer in the City of Light

Pilgrimage dates: May 12-20, 2015

Paris—the City of Light—is a feast for the senses, stunning us with its art, architecture, beauty and historic treasures. It is also home to several surprising new centers of contemplative awareness and mission, which bring their own special light to this urban context. This joining of the ancient and new creates a powerful spiritual landscape for transformation and renewal. It invites our prayer and deepening trust in the Spirit’s surprising movements among us.

With Hearts Wide Open: A Seminar on Contemplative Leadership

Do you yearn to explore a way of leading that is more aligned with your heart?
Are you seeking community and support for this heart-led way?

With hearts wide open, we can begin to see how to lead in a way that is congruent with the invitation of our spiritual heart.  And doing this can dramatically change how we lead in the workplace, shifting us from a controlling power to the power of love and compassion.

Through content videos and audio, Leah Rampy will help explore compassion and power as dimensions of contemplative leadership and will offer a space for reflection, contemplative practice and sharing with other leaders. The seminar will also include practical resources, time for individual journaling and silent prayer.

Dates: The workshop can be taken any of five days between April 30 to May 14, 2015.
There will be a live conference call on Tuesday, May 12, at noon EDT

     Register online, please click here.

Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation nurtures contemplative living and leadership by caring for the spiritual heart in prayer and by offering ways of opening into the life of the Spirit.  We believe that living contemplatively is essential in today's often chaotic and challenging world.   And it is a way to live a truly authentic life—anchored in prayer, spiritually discerning, responsive to God.

Our programs and resources draw particularly on the Christian contemplative tradition, and our participants come from many different denominations, faith traditions, and walks of life.
At Shalem, we honor each individual spiritual path and welcome anyone who would seek to learn from the contemplative way.
