With Hearts Wide Open
Contemplative Leadership Day — Online

Do you yearn to explore a way of leading that is more aligned with your heart?
Are you seeking community and support for this heart-led way?

With hearts wide open, we can see how to lead in a contemplative way.  Contemplative Leadership can be very challenging no matter the workplace.  Find practices and support you'll need to remain spacious, flexible and open to the True Leader, the Spirit.

Through content videos and audio, Leah Rampy will help explore compassion and power as dimensions of contemplative leadership and will offer a space for reflection, contemplative practice and sharing with other leaders.  The workshop can be taken any of the three days the weekend of Thursday, October 9 to Saturday, October 11, 2014.  There will be a live chat session on Friday at noon.

Space is limited in this new program offering.  To Register now, please click here.

Ninth Annual Gathering of Shalem Society for Contemplative Leadership

Contemplative Leadership: Leading from Beyond Words
October 19-23, 2014

God speaks in language beyond all thought, in silence too deep for words, in ways that delight the senses, in fresh, never-before-expressed images.  At this year's Gathering, we will begin again with an extended silent retreat (36 hours) so that we steep ourselves in the Root of all words, in Love "so deep and sweet."  Then, refreshed and inspired, our listening hearts and conversations can carry the divine hope of leading from beyond words.

If you have completed the second residency of a Shalem extension program, please prayerfully consider joining us in October.

    We're Hiring!

Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation nurtures contemplative living and leadership by caring for the spiritual heart in prayer and by offering ways of opening into the life of the Spirit.  We believe that living contemplatively is essential in today's often chaotic and challenging world.   And it is a way to live a truly authentic life—anchored in prayer, spiritually discerning, responsive to God.

Our programs and resources draw particularly on the Christian contemplative tradition, and our participants come from many different denominations, faith traditions, and walks of life.
At Shalem, we honor each individual spiritual path and welcome anyone who would seek to learn from the contemplative way.
