A Free Virtual Retreat for Clergy
Sunday, April 11, 4:00 p.m., ET – Monday, April 12, 4:00 p.m., ET

After a demanding and stressful year, Shalem offers clergy an opportunity to slow down and reconnect to the deeper ground of the Spiritual Heart with this free 24-hour retreat on Zoom.

During the spaciousness of this time there will be teaching, sharing, silence and reflection. Having completed the Lenten and Easter cycle, participants will find time to breathe and rest as they are supported by the prayers of fellow clergy.

The retreat will be led by the co-directors of Shalem’s Going Deeper: Clergy Spiritual Life and Leadership Program: the Rev. Julie Pennington-Russell, senior pastor of the First Baptist Church of the City of Washington, D.C., and the Rev. Winston B. Charles, Ph.D., retired Episcopal priest and former rector of Christ Church, Raleigh, N.C.

All clergy are welcome to join this time of reconnection and refreshment.

Our mission is to nurture contemplative living and leadership.

Grounded in our understanding of God’s desire for peace, wholeness and well-being, we envision a world transformed by contemplative living and leadership in which all people honor one another and creation, recognize their unity and interconnectedness, and courageously seek to live out of this reality.
