REST AND RENEWAL, HOPE AND HOLINESS

As we look to this year’s Shalem Society Gathering we feel a need for rest and renewal, for a respite from the weariness we carry. We admit that we cannot know what will come – for ourselves or our world. And yet, we trust deeply in God. We hear a Holy invitation to love, hope, creativity, and deep connection amid the brokenness of our world. We trust the Holy One is at work in and among us even when we cannot perceive it. May this Gathering refresh us as we pray together in community and reconnect to the Sacred Love and Holy Wisdom within us, so that new life and possibilities might emerge.

As one of the components of the Society for Contemplative Leadership, the Annual Gathering is open to all people who have completed the final residency of one of Shalem’s long-term programs: Going Deeper: Clergy Spiritual Life and Leadership Program, Facilitating Group Spiritual Direction Program, Transforming Community: Leading Contemplative Spiritual Groups & Retreats Program, Living in God: Personal Spiritual Deepening Program, Nurturing the Call: Spiritual Guidance Program, Soul of the Executive Program, YALLI: Young Adult Life and Leadership Initiative, Crossing the Threshold: Contemplative Foundations for Emerging Leaders, the Soul of Leadership Program, and Heart Longings: An Invitation to the Contemplative Path.

Please note: if you are a graduate of one of Shalem’s long-term programs and are considering membership in the Society, you are welcome to come to the Gathering to discern if the Society is right for you at this time.

COST & REGISTRATION

The Gathering begins at 4PM ET October 4 and ends at 12PM ET October 8, 2026.

Early Early Bird Price (through 7/17/26 5pm ET): $650

Early Bird Price (7/18/26 through 8/17/26 5pm ET): $675

Regular Price (8/18/26 through 9/17/26 5pm ET): $700

First-time attendees to the Annual Society Meeting: $600 (through 8/17/26 5pm ET)

There are only 55 slots available for registration.

Cancellation policy: Half of registration minus a $150 non-refundable deposit will be refunded through August 1, 2026. Twenty-five percent of registration minus $150 non-refundable deposit will be refunded by September 1, 2026. No refunds will be given after September 1, 2026.
